Mastering Focus: A Strategic Guide

Building Your Foundation of Concentration

Hey Goal Crushers and Dream Chasers,

In my last campaign, I talked about the importance of leverage.

We need to have a vision of the lifestyle we desire.

We need to break down our SMART goals into an action plan.

We know proper communication can grant us a huge boon in reaching our goals.

But how do we keep ourselves focused on our ambition.

Foundations of Concentration

Let's break down F.O.C.U.S. into 5 different letters.

This one focuses on the Foundation of concentration.

Focus requires us to work in an environment free of distraction.

We must also develop the skills over time with sustainable practice.

You need a workspace where you can go free of distraction to refine your skills.

An Optimized Workspace

Ideally your workspace has access to comfortable seating and a clutter free environment.

But beggars can't be choosers when it comes to getting the work done.

As long as you have enough room to work, and it is distraction free.

You can also invest in an optimized workspace; it is totally a thing.

With this space, all the time you spend here will be valuable in refining your skill.

Adopt the Skills, Adapt the Skills

Once you have a workspace, you want to make every second count.

What skills would help us optimize our workspace time?

The pomodoro technique is one known skill, it breaks concentration into chunks.

The best takeaway from this technique is creating structured work in time blocks.

Other things that improve focus: physical exercise for cognitive ability, breath techniques for clearing the mind, nutritional food to avoid brain fog, and so on.

In Summary

This is the first letter of five in F.O.C.U.S.

We focused on the foundations of concentration.

An optimized workspace will help you work distraction free.

Understanding realized techniques and repurpose them as needed.

What does your mind focus on, and is this benefitting you in the long run?
